CYCLOCROSS
Cyclo Cross takes place in the Fall/Winter. Traditionally it uses road style bikes with knobby tires (can use Mountain Bike!). Cyclo Cross events can take place on pavement, wooded trails, grass, and steep hills. There are places on the course where one must dismount and carry his or her bike over obstacles.
Races are a mass start event, 30-60 minutes long. Maintenance is allowed to be performed in a designated pit area, think NASCAR !
